Viking wrestlers split in dual triangulars

The North Branch wrestling team competed in two triangulars over the course of last week and emerged with a split. At Mora last Tuesday, the team defeated Melrose 66-9, but lost to Mora 39-31.
At home last Thursday the team defeated Benilde St. Margaretís 51-21. Totino Grace turned out to be more of a challenge for the home squad though, and the Vikings fell 39-28.
Head coach Tony Aho summarized the action early this week. ìThe guys continue to work hard and improve and are starting to gain confidence with each match. Tom Morkís record does not show it, but he is getting the hang of it; and will start to show some of his skills on match very soon. Greg Arnt and John Wickoren are showing a lot of consistency due to their great work ethic.î
