TO THE EDITOR:

On Jan. 3, the majority of Chisago City Council once again shoves another knife in the backs of its people deceiving residents of Wyoming Township with a letter sent by Mayor Chris Dubose making claims and promises that are half truths, another annexation has started.

No public hearing was held. Notices were posted at city hall and the post office only days before the meeting, even though the city council planned this meeting approximately two weeks earlier. This was aired on cable TV only after a complaint was made a few hours before the start of the meeting and without notice. Is this fair?

The words: For the People, by the people mean nothing to Mayor Dubose and council members David Giese and Dave Dobosenski.

This is why Wyoming city council and the township board members finalize the merger of both communities.

The Chisago City Council, excluding Councilmember Don Taylor cannot be trusted.

This was proven in the last hostile annexation and on several occasions. I ask the township people to talk to their board members and ask them about the letter Mayor Dubose sent out. Then ask Mayor Dubose these questions and for those 25 residents who petition to be annex into Chisago to withdraw their petition after hearing his answer.

1. The townboard sent a letter asking to define your reasons to attend the meetings between Wyoming Township and Wyoming city. Why did you not respond?

2. How much money have you and Councilman Giese made or will make from some properties that were annexed into Chisago City from Lent and Chisago Lakes Township?

3. If everything you say is true Mayor Dubose, then why are Chisago City residents petitioning to be annexed into Wyoming City?
