Alicia Olson and Anthony Kralewski of Centuria, Wisc., had something very special to celebrate this first day of the New Year: the birth of their daughter, Kailey Constance. Born at 3:41 p.m. Jan. 1,at St. Croix Regional Medical Center, Kailey weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 19.5 inches.

ìKailey is our first child born here at St. Croix,î said Alicia. ìWe had a nice birthing experience. Dr. Gail Hanson, our physician, and Kerry Swenson, our nurse, plus the other staff were very helpful and met all our labor and delivery needs.

We also enjoyed the special steak dinner we received to celebrate Kaileyís birth.î Grandparents are Mark and Betty Kralewski of St. Croix Falls, and Terre and Sonia Irvine of Centuria, Wisc. As the parents of the first child born in 2006 at the Medical Center, the couple received a backpack and a pastel baby blanket from the Medical Center, monogrammed with Kaileyís name and birth date, a $50 gift bag for Mom and baby from the SCRMC auxiliary gift shop, an family portrait from Heritage Studios of Osceola, a $50 gift certificate from Marketplace Foods, a $50 savings bond from Eagle Valley Bank of St. Croix Falls, and a $25 gift certificate to Wal-Mart.
