Carol M. Sanderberg, of Almelund, Minn., died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 at St. Croix Valley Regional Hospital at the age of 79.
Carol was born in Fish Lake Township on Sept. 20, 1926 to Henry and Gerda (Berntson) Paulson. She graduated from North Branch High School in 1944.
In 1959 she married Warren Sandberg at Calvary Lutheran Church at Rush Point. She worked for Northwest Airlines for many years.
Carol enjoyed fishing, especially catching, her family, traveling, church work and her Swedish heritage. She was a member of the Ki Chi Saga Swedish Club, and the Senior Federation.
Carol is survived by her husband Warren, children Sue of St. Paul, Minn. John, Dale (Ann), and Carl, all of Almelund, seven grandchildren, brother Don (Koreen Gerdin) Paulson of East Bethel, Minn., sisters: Mae (Al) Engelbrecht of Maple Plain, Minn., Marion Stinchfield of Bloomington, Minn., Harriet (Jerry) Johnson of Eden Prairie, Minn.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, at the Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Almelund. Interment in the church cemetery.
