The Rush City boys basketball team ended a four-game loosing streak last Friday with a 83-43 victory over the Ogilvie Lions.
The victory was in no small part due to the Tigers prowess from three-point land, as they shot 50 percent from outside the arc and drained 5 of their 10 attempts.
The Tigers also shot over 50 percent from closer in, and sunk 12 of 18 free throws.
Head coach Gary Dreissig noted post-game that the Tigers enjoyed success against he Lions due to ́balanced scoring.î
Three starters finished the game in double digits, including Zach Beck with 20, Jake Bosman with 17, and John Kirchberg with 11. Josh Beck was solid off the bench as well, scoring eight points and nabbing seven rebounds. Bosman finished with a team leading 11 rebounds.
It was a team effort under the basket though, as the Tigers owned the paint, securing 45 boards to the Lions 27.
The Tigers will lace up against East Central at home this Thursday.
