On his way to work Dec. 28, David Danielzuk of North Branch stopped to get gas at Gas Plus in North Branch. He decided to buy one Candy Cane Cash Scratch ticket.

ìI scratched the ticket in my truck and couldnít believe what I was seeing,î Danielzuk said.

One of the play spots on his ticket contained two candy cane symbols to win the top prize of $100,000.

ìI had to turn the light on and I kept flipping the ticket back and forth (between the play area and prize legend) to make sure I really had won $100,000,î he added.

ìI never thought that I would win big,î he said, ìThis sure made my day!î

Six of eight $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed. The overall odds to win a prize playing Candy Cane Cash are 1 in 3.32.

Candy Cane Cash is a $10 scratch game.
