James Matthew Durant, age 21 of Stacy, Minn., died on July 9, 2006 in Harris, Minn. as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Jared was born on Sept. 12, 1984 in St. Paul to Dale and Elizabeth (Smith) Durant. He attended North Branch High School from 1999-2003. He was attending Century College in the X-ray tech program.

Jared loved visiting with family, hanging with friends, snowboarding, sport-biking, dancing, music and his schooling.

Jared was preceded in death by grandfather Lowell Smith.

Jared is survived by parents Dale and Elizabeth; brother Jonathan and nephew Dylan; brother Christopher and wife Kelly; sister Katherine and fiancÈ Robin Mooers; brother Duane; grandparents Jacqueline Smith and Ervin and Yvonne Durant; numerous aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 13, at St. Gregoryís Catholic Church in North Branch, Minn. with Father Shane Wasinger officiating. Interment will be at St. Josephís Catholic Cemetery in North Branch.

Jared will be deeply loved and dearly missed.
