Sigrid A. (Johnson) Olson of Forest Lake, Minn., formerly of Harris, Minn., age 90, passed away July 12, 2006 at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, Minn.

Sigrid was born June 17, 1916 in North Branch Township to Algot and Ann (Mohl) Johnson. She married Oscar Olson in 1935. To this union three children were born.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sigrid loved to bake and cook. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved watching parades.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; sister Lillian Lindberg, and an infant brother.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn (Edward) Nelson of North Branch, Ann Norberg of Forest Lake, and John Olson of Forest Lake; two grandchildren: Meredith (Todd) Polipnick of North Branch and Corey (Amber) Nelson of Lindstrom, Minn; two great-grandchildren: Jordan Nelson and Brianna Polipnick.

Funeral service was held Monday, July 17, at Mattson Funeral Home in Forest Lake with Rev. David Kieppela officiating. Interment was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Mattson Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Forest Lake.
