Itís almost August and that means itís almost time for Stacy Daze.

The 36th annual event will be held Saturday, Aug. 5.

The excitement of the event actually begins Monday, July 31 with a Medallion Hunt. Winner with a button takes home $500, $250 without a button. Must be present Aug. 5 to claim prize. Buttons are now on sale at Stacy merchants where you will also find the clues.

Vote now for your prince and princess at Stacy businesses, children 5-8 are eligible.

Saturday events are at the city park.

On Saturday, the day starts with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. There will be a parade at noon and at 1 p.m., free root beer floats until gone.

Pony rides will start after the parade and a money hunt for children ages 3-10 starts at 2 p.m.

There will also be kidsí and firemenís waterball fights, a live band, ìLightening Creekî from 7 p.m.-11 p.m. and menís and womenís softball tournaments playing at both the Rick Doyle field and park field.
