Craig Edward Grabinski
Craig Edward Grabinski, age 45 of Stacy, Minn., beloved husband of Jackie and loving father of Travis, Derek and Jenna, slipped into the arms of the Lord surrounded by his family on June 16, 2006 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Craig was born to Clayton and Joan Grabinski June 20, 1960 in Saint Cloud, Minn. He attended school in Lino Lakes and Forest Lake, Minn. The family moved to Lewistown, Montana in 1977, where he finished school.
Shortly after graduation Craig moved back to Minnesota to be back with his buddies and the lakes that he loved.
In 1984 Craig met the love of his life and best friend Jackie Richardson, daughter of Don and Pam Richardson of Sturgeon Lake. They began their journey together on Aug. 16, 1986 in Denham, Minn.
Craig worked as a machinist for many years. In 2003 Craig began his career as a corrections officer at the Rush City Correctional Facility.
Craig was an outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing. He loved his family and spending precious time with them. He loved the Lord and spreading His word. He was a sponsor to a child through the Christian Childrenís Fund and was a volunteer at the Green Acres Nursing Home.
Craig was preceded in death by his grandparents: Edward and Ida Grabinski and LeRoy and Dorothy Larson. He is survived by Jackie and children: Travis, Derek and Jenna of the family home, his parents Clayton and Joan Grabinski, brother Gary Grabinski, sisters Vicki (Mike) Pyette and Joy (Charlie) Friend, all of Billings, Mont.; and all of his many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 20, at Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch, Minn. from 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Branch, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Loren Mellum officiating.
