Just open since last Friday, Studio Blue Salon & Spa hopes to bring a big-city spa experience to residents of Stacy and surrounding communities. Manager and manicurist Kaerssa LaBarre, 32, from the Chisago area, along with silent partners Tom and Marlys Servaty, hope a wide range of ìhead to toeî services will be just the ticket.

Starting with the head, Studio Blue offers styling and care for all types of hair. Color, cuts, childrenís hair, permanents, extensions and conditioning are available. Products from Kenra, Biolage, Osis, Bonacure, and American Crew (for men) can keep that mane looking stellar in between visits.

Take advantage of a variety of facials as well. Treatments to battle aging and acne are available, as are chemical peels, and a back facial, which combines an exfoliation with a 20-minute massage.

For the body, Studio Blue offers a host of massage choices ranging in time from a half an hour to an hour. Patrons are welcome to add a reflexology foot treatment or a facial to any massage for a small fee.

Tan that new, relaxed body in one of Studio Blueís two lay-down model tanning beds, with a stand-up model on the way shortly.

Now, take that massaged, tanned hide and get rid of any unwanted hair with a full complement of waxing services, including, eyebrows, lips, chin, outer ear, nose, underarm, bikini, neck, back, and both half and full leg. Or, for a slightly different approach, try sugaring.

Lest the extremities be left out, Studio Blue offers a full nail-care facility. All-natural nail care packages include manicures, pedicures, and paraffin dips. Pedicures are done in a special whirlpool pedicure chair, which combines a hot water whirlpool for the feet, while the chair massages aching back muscles. Studio Blueís pedicure set up is so comfortable, said LaBarre, ìpeople may just book the chair.î

A full line of O.P.I. nail care products will keep those nails gleaming in between treatments.

Studio Blue brings quite a bit of experience to the area. LaBarre is an experienced manicurist and has worked for other area stylists, and LaBarreís sister, on staff, has dabbled in salon ownership. With esthetician Julie Bay and numerous qualified technicians on board as well, the salon and spa is well staffed for any need.

Gift cards are available for people who want to give pampering and relaxation to a loved one, and a reward system for customers awards one point for every dollar spent at Studio Blue.

ìWe are really excited to be here,î said LaBarre. ìItís a new building, a new salon, and itís in a new area close to the freeway. Weíre very excited about what we can offer.î

Stop by Studio Blue on July 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. for the grand opening celebration and see for yourself. Food, prizes and free gifts are part of the occasion.

Studio Blue is located at 30962 Fenway Ave., Suite 200, in Stacy. For more information, call (651) 462-6615.
