Julie Mae Bodell
Julie Mae Bodell, the daughter of Norman and Sue Bodell and Robert (Rabs) and Audrey Anderson, was born June 21, 1960 at Riverview Hospital in West St. Paul. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Pine City on Sept. 4, 1960 and confirmed at St. Johnís Lutheran Church of Rush City in 1974. She attended school in Rush City.
Julie had one daughter, Maggie Mae Shinler, who was born in 1985. Maggie has been out of state; training for the National Guard and has also been attending North Central Bible College in Minneapolis.ÝÝÝ
Julie spent many years working at Plastech of Rush City. She also enjoyed working with the elderly and spent most of her lifeís work, working with them at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Rush City and Green Acres Country Care Center in North Branch. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of plants, and country music. She has been living in Pine City for the last six years.
Julie died May 31, 2006 at the Westwood Health Care Center in St. Louis Park.
Julie is survived by her daughter, Maggie Mae Shinler of Harris, her fiancÈ, Randy Root of Hinckley, parents, Norman and Sue Bodell and Robert (Rabs) and Audrey Anderson, all of Rush City. She is also survived by her sister Cindy Bodell of Rush City, her brother Rocky (Julie) Bodell of Rock Creek, her sister Val (Dan) Larson, and her sister Lisa (Tim) Morris, all of Rush City. Julie is also survived by nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and friends.
Preceding Julie in death are her grandparents Arthur Bodell and Ovilia Downing, Leslie Nowling, and Gladys (Robert) Martin.
Rev. Laurie OíShea officiated at funeral services Monday, June 5, 2006, 10 a.m. at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rush City. Music was provided by Dianne Kirchberg, Randi and Brittany Olson. Honorary casket bearers included Julieís sister Cindy Bodell and her niece Cammi Bodell. Active casket bearers included nieces and nephews Dustin Bodell, Holly Larson, Brooke Larson, Jeris
Robinson, Joey Robinson, Isaiah Morris with the interment in the Wm. Taylor Cemetery southeast of Rush City. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service, Olson Chapel, Rush City, Minn.
