The City of North Branch will unveil a draft of their Water Resource Management Plan at the City Council Chambers on June 14 at 7 p.m. The Water Resource Manage-ment Plan provides the City with direction on protecting its lakes, streams, and wetlands. The plan also establishes policies used in development to manage and treat storm water as well as protect properties from flooding.

The plan identifies several trunk systems and improve-ments necessary to accommo-date stormwater dis-charges in the City of North Branch. The plan also includes a discussion of future funding alternatives to pay for trunk stormwater improvements within the City of North Branch.

The public information meeting will include a brief presentation of the draft plan and provide opportunity for
residents to discuss the various elements of the plan before being considered by the Council for adoption and implementation. Following the public information meeting, it is anticipated that the draft plan will be considered for adoption by the Council some-time in July with comments received from the public information meeting.
