Lenore C. Henricks

Our dear mother, Lenore C. Henricks, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at the Grandview Christian Home in Cambridge,
Minn.

She was born on March 23, 1917 to William and Clara (Schmidt) Schlipp of rural east Isanti. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church of Weber.

Before marriage she worked as a household helper to families in Isanti, North Branch (Mr. and Mrs. Herb Bloom who were owners of a dry goods store on main street.) and Minneapolis.

In June 1936 she married William Henricks at her parentsí farm in an outdoor lawn ceremony. They made farming their life in rural west North Branch. Lenore worked for some years at Green Acres Nursing Home in North Branch as a kitchen aide and cook. Her greatest concerns were the health and happiness of her family, and she valued kindness and understanding above all.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Clara Schlipp, twin brother Oliver Schlipp, brothers Byron Schlipp, and Walter Schlipp, granddaughter Janet Lynn Becker, 33, of Champlin, daughter of Curt and Mavis Becker of Cambridge, great-granddaughter Meagan Rose McCarthy (infant daughter of Mike and Tammi McCarthy of Cedar), and son-in-law Lloyd Erickson.

Lenore is survived by three children, Marlene Erickson of North Branch, Mavis Ann and husband Curt Becker of Cambridge, and Randal Henricks of Cambridge, four grandchildren, Terri (Bryan) Hendricks of Cambridge, John Erickson of North Branch, Tammi (Mike) McCarthy of Cedar and Paul (Nicole) Becker of Byron, Minn., six great-grandchildren, Nathan Hendricks of Cambridge, Heidi Hendricks (Jamie) Fowler of Cambridge, Jared and Julia McCarthy of Cedar, Kira and Abby Becker of Byron, Minn., brother Waldo (Marion) Schlipp of Isanti, sisters-in-Law, Ione Schlipp of Cambridge, LaVerne Schlipp of North Branch, and Lydia Schlipp of North Branch and many nieces and nephews.

She would wish us to remember the many wonderful caregivers and residents of her longtime home at Grandview Christian Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Weber with Pastor Kevin Zellers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The organist will be Kathy Zellers. Pallbearers will be John Erickson, Mike McCarthy, Bryan Hendricks, Paul Becker, Kevin Schlipp and Arlan Schlipp. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home in Cambridge.
