Viking girls all over Fridley, move to round two

The North Branch girlís basketball team beat Fridley in the section 6AAA quarterfinal game 48-26 Wednesday night in North Branch, to advance to the next round of the playoffs.
In the first half, Fridley kept the game close and only trailed by five points at the halfway mark.
In the second half it was all Vikings who went on a 15-2 run to seal the victory. North Branch full court pressure was an important element to their defensive.
ìOur defense was key,î head coach Dan Schindler said.
The no. 2 seeded Vikings play no. 3 seeded Spring Lake Park in Osseo, Saturday at 5:00.
