A special musical show was held at the Battle Shack in North Branch on Chance Holtís 20th birthday, Sunday, April 30. Holt was killed in a head-on collision on I-35 April 9. He had been a member of a local band. As band members, friends and family came together that night they said it was to celebrate Chanceís awesome life. Half of the admission proceeds went to Chanceís family. Special t-shirts were also sold. It was noted that Chance was a Christian. The lead singer in the first band told the crowd to ìthink about what youíre living forî and the band sang a song called ìGossip,î which was about ìnot stabbing others in the back.î Said the lead singer, ìItís so much more than music.î Another song performed was titled ìNo Other God.î There was a good-sized crowd on hand.
