Louise Mead, beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend, age 77, passed away May 16, 2006.

She was born Nov. 8 1928 in Carrollton, Ohio. Louise grew up in Ohio before she moved to Albany, New York, Hallock and then Milaca, Minn. and to her home for the past 34 years in Lindstrom and Chisago City, Minn.

One of Louiseís greatest gifts in life included love for her husband and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid crossword puzzle fan, working each one to completion. She cared deeply for her family and created wonderful memories of delicious dinners, fun-filled holiday celebrations and meaningful family traditions. She also had a great many friends and neighbors who were very special to her.

Louise is survived by her children: Tom (Beth) Mead, Mindy (Kevin) Lines, Peggy (Brett) Johnson, son-in-law Bob (Bonnie) Giese, grandchildren: Scot (Shawn), Angela (Brian), Any, Willy (Julia), Kelly, Tommy (Krista), Cassie, Joni, Molly and Madalyn, great-grandchildren: Becca, Emma Easton and Mitchell, niece Melissa, nephews: Tim (Amy) and Ted (Shirley).

Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend Tom and her oldest daughter Becky.

A private burial was held at Fairview Cemetery on Friday, May 19, 2006. She will be deeply missed by her family, especially her children and all her grandchildren who loved and admired her. Memorials will be used to help maintain Fairview Cemetery.
