Business goes better with friends

What does a group of childhood friends do when they have spare time on their hands and an overflow of motivation? Well, if the group of friends have a combined 19 years of landscaping experience the answer is simple. Open a landscaping business. That is exactly what two married couples from North Branch are doing right now in Harris.
Carl and Mandy Lindemann, and Chad and Kelly Myrvold just recently opened New Look Landscaping Supplies and are inviting one and all to celebrate with them this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their new location. There will be hot dogs, cotton candy, and balloons, as well as a chance to see what New Look has to offer, which is plenty.
A variety of Keystone retaining wall block as well as Londonstone products lead the way. Seven different kinds of decorative rock, rip rap, class five and pea gravel, no less than four different colors of mulch, black dirt, and washed sand round out the variety of landscaping products now available.
As well, miscellaneous supplies like landscaping fabric, edging products, sod staples, and other items are available.
Not very handy? New Look has you covered as well with full installation available for all of its products. Have skid steer, trucks, and trailers. Will make your yard look like a million bucks.
New Look can also handle special orders and will deliver seven days a week.
Over the winter months New Look intends to keep busy with snow removal.
New Look has been in the works for about a year and this weekends ìminiî grand opening is just the beginning. The Lindemannís and Myrvoldís are breaking ground for a 60 by 100 foot showroom, scheduled to open in July, that will serve as a showroom for many of New Lookís products as well as some new ones, like water features. It will be at that opening that New Look will hold its official grand opening.
Centrally located just off of I-35 in Harris at 5865 433rd Street, New Lookís owners are the latest addition to the local business community and believe they serve a niche. ìThere just wasnít much of this around,î said Kelly Myrvold, who added that choosing to open in Harris was a way to make getting landscaping supplies and service more convenient for local home and business owners.
