Florence Stream Brinkman

Florence Stream Brinkman, age 94, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at Lakeside Medical Center in Pine City, Minn.

She was born June 12, 1911 in rural Royalton Township, Pine County, Minn. to David and Anna (Karlsson) Lindstrom on the family farm. Florence was the third of seven children born into the Lindstrom family. She attended and graduated from the 8th grade at the nearby Meadow Banks School.

Florence was baptized on July 16, 1913 on a family farm and was a member of the Lutheran Church all of her life, more recent at the First Evangelical Lutheran, in Rush City, Minn.

She married Otto Stream on July 6, 1936 in Watertown, South Dakota. To this union two children were born, Glenn and Gloria. Otto passed away in 1970.

Florence remarried in 1986 to Ray Brinkman and resided in New Richmond, Wisc. until Rayís death in 2001. At that time Florence moved to Lakeside Medical Center in Pine City, where she resided until her death.

Florence loved her family and had many friends. She had a green thumb and her flower garden was proof of this. Fishing and travels were also top on her list. Ray and Florence got to see much of the world, from Hawaii to Sweden.

Florence had many jobs in life from raising her children to being an inspector for manufacturing companies, home health care worker, and Streams Red Owl.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, David and Anna Lindstrom, her first husband Otto, her second husband Ray Brinkman, her six siblings and spouses, sister, Myrtle and Bror Forslin, brothers Clarence and Helen, Wilbert and Dorothy, Hubert and Norma, Howard and Aldo Lindstrom.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Glenn and Clarice Stream and daughter and son-in-law Gloria and Robert Oscarson of Rush City; grandchildren: Debbie (Dan) Dahlberg and Dale (Angie) Oscarson, Darrin (Andrea) Stream, all of Rush City, Loralie (Dan) Gazda of North Branch; great-grandchildren: Dylan and Desi Dahlberg, Trevor, Samantha, and Tyler Oscarson, Taylor and Zachery Gazda; sister-in Law: Emma Lindstrom, of Pine City, her extended family Rev. Father Jim Brinkman, Greg and Ann Brinkman of New Richmond, Wisc, Sheryl and Don DeCleene, Wyndonoor, Penn., Karly and Randy Price of Shorewood, Wisc and Mary and Dean Hoffman of Stansburg Pk, Utah, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were celebrated Monday, May 1, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City with the Reverend Laurie OíShea officiating. Dianne Kirchberg and Lawrence V. Olson provided music. The eulogist was Debbie Dahlberg, reader Father Jim Brinkman and cross bearer Dylan Dahlberg. Casket bearers included her nephews Wayne, Eldon, Jerry, Danny, Gordy, and LeRoy Lindstrom with the interment in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Harris, Minn. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service, Olson Chapel, Rush City, Minn.
