Chisago County Public Health and Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center are co-sponsoring Public Flu Shot Clinics in the month of November. Flu shots will be available for anyone 13 years and older. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Here are the dates and locations:

Lindstrom: Trinity Lutheran Church, Monday, Nov. 20, 2 ñ 4 p.m.

North Branch: Trinity Lutheran Church, Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2 ñ 4 p.m.

The cost of a flu shot this year is $20 and a pneumonia shot is $30.

If you are on Medicare and have Part B coverage, the cost of both shots will be covered by Medicare. If you are part of a Medicare HMO please bring your Medicare and HMO card with you to the flu shot clinic. Pneumonia shots are usually given once on or after the age of 65 years old. Talk with your doctor to determine if you should receive a pneumonia shot before the age of 65. Please wear a short sleeved shirt/top or loose clothing for ease in administering your shot.
