The All School Play cast and crew will present the musical, ìLumberjacks and Weddingbelles,î by Tim Kelly, with the music and lyrics by Larry Nestor on Friday Nov. 17 and Saturday Nov. 18 in the Rush City High School theatre. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m.

ìLumberjacks and Weddingbellesî tells the story of the days of the lumberjacks in the Washington Territory. Because the territory is short on women, an enterprising lawyer arranges to bring prospective brides from Boston to the area. Romance and anticipation are in the air. These weddingbelles experience a rough adjustment to the primitive life, especially when the Scrubbs, a local trapping family, decides to drive them out. Itís trappers versus lumberjacks, with a political race for the Territorial legislature ñ complete with dirty tricks ñ adding more twists to the plot.

Come and enjoy an evening of fun, as the cast sings and dances to a variety of musical styles, ranging from waltzes to hoedown to marches. The cast and crew includes more than 60 students in grades 9-12.

Tickets are available from cast and crew members or by calling the directors, Doreen Karlsson or Colleen Daniels. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 6th grade or younger.

ìLumberjacks and Weddingbellesî is produced through special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colo.
