The North Branch boys soccer team had its annual awards banquet Oct. 24 at North Branch high school. Freshman Brian Grand was named the teams MVP. Grand led the team in scoring with eight goals and six assists. He was named to North Suburban All Conference team and All-State nomination.

Even though the season just ended, coach Brad Gustafson is already thinking about next season.

ìOur team is counting you, so come ready to play next August,î Gustafson wrote. ìThe preseason is only 10 months away.î

The Vikings finished the regular season 4-12 overall and 1-9 in the conference. They lost in the first round of section play to New Life Academy by a score of 3-5.

The team is returning all of its starters from this season.
