TO THE EDITOR:

As you know I, Marvin Stai was accused of accepting a bribe to drop out of the mayoral race for the City of Harris. I have much more respect for the citizens of Harris, my wife Candy, and my daughter Tasha than to do something that disrespectful.

By being put in the paper it has brought great embarrassment to my family. My wife and I lost hours of sleep due to worry over the false accusations. My employment was in jeopardy because of numerous phone calls and visits by people about the accusations.

I am happy to say the truth prevailed during the court hearing and the case was dismissed. I hope the people wonít look down on me for this and I will continue to be an upstanding citizen in my community.
