David G. O. Norman, age 82 of North Branch, Minn., died on Oct. 3, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family.

Norman was born on July 5, 1924 to David and Inez (Rockne) Norman in Mora, Minn. He attended high school in Estherville, Iowa. He attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa.

On Aug. 19, 1951 he married Doris Evans in Dolliver, Iowa.

David was a naval pilot during WWII. He than worked for Honeywell as a business administrator for 31 years.

He enjoyed flying, fishing, painting, watching westerns, reading, traveling and most of all spending time with his family.

David was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Susan Ann Norman.

David is survived by wife Doris; son Dennis and his kids Kelly Jensen, Danny Norman, Amanda Skipper (Matthew) and their two children Gabriel and Madison; daughter Deborah Norman and friend Gregg Hawkins; daughter Diane Kovach and husband Donald and their children Jason, Chris, Nicole and Shawn Kovach; daughter Dawn Carpenter and husband William and their children Samantha, Brandon, and Jacob Barstad, and Courtney and Victoria Carpenter; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Almelund, Minn. with Rev. Brian Bergin officiating.

Interment was in the church cemetery.
