TO THE EDITOR:

Regarding we want a Wal-mart I understand a need for a big box store in your area. However bringing in a Wal-mart will change your town, shops will close up, your local grocery [Nelsonís] will not survive. Wal-mart will not pay its employees livable wages or provide affordable health insurance for their families.

I recommend that your city council check other local communities first to see the effects of Wal-mart on their communities. I like your small town feeling, I enjoy visiting your town, please donít change that appeal.
