TO THE EDITOR:

If you want more taxes, more houses built, more traffic, fewer trees ñ I suggest you vote into the North Branch City Council the banker, the realtor and the councilmember who voted for the Green Acres project despite her conflict of interest.

If you want a mayor who votes for the developersí interests and doesnít seem to grasp what local citizens want, vote the current mayor.

But if you want to clean up the North Branch budget mess, the runaway taxes, the comprehensive plan and have people in office who actually listen to the citizens, will answer your e-mails and telephone calls, who think out of the box and who decide issues in favor of the people who actually live here, then I suggest you vote for Amy Oehlers (city council) and Joni Monk (mayor).

In the next election we have a chance to vote for people who will make some positive changes. We need to break up the voting ìgang of threeî who consistently vote against our best interests. We need to elect Amy and Joni.
