TO THE EDITOR:

Change is needed! Change is good! We need a change on the Chisago County Board of Commissioners, 4th District. Eight years is long enough for one person to serve.

We need a commissioner
who will work with and respect the decisions made by the local governments. Recently when folks wanted to develop their property in Wyoming Township they went through all the hoops of the process called for in the ordinances. The Wyoming Township Planning Commission approved it, the Wyoming Township Board approved it, the Chisago County Planning Commission approved it ñ and the lone dissenter on the County Board was the 4th District Commissioner ñ voted against folks in his own district.

We need a commissioner who is concerned about funding. From 2002 (election year) to 2007 the county debt payment has increased over 600 percent.

We need a commissioner who knows how to be a team member ñ the current dissension on the County Board must come to a halt.

We need a change ñ a competent leader is Russ Goudge. Vote him in on Nov. 7 for 4th District County Commissioner. Change is Good!
