TO THE EDITOR:

I support Ben Montzka in his bid for re-election as the county commissioner from our community. I have known Ben for over 30 years. During that time, I have seen him volunteer countless hours at his church as a musician, choir director and music coordinator. Ben has a great enthusiasm and love for music which makes listening to his choir sing or his piano playing especially enjoyable. I have observed that Ben treats people that he works with at church in a fair, kind and respectful manner which I believe is one of his strongest personal traits.

I know that Ben will continue to work hard in a positive way on the County Board to protect our interests as residents of the southwest corner of Chisago County. We need more respectful leaders like Ben. Ben treats people respectfully even when he disagrees with them. This attitude can help create an environment where all sides are comfortable expressing their views. Please vote to re-elect Ben Montzka as our county commissioner on Nov. 7.
