The Vikings lost to Columbia Heights by a score of 4-7 Sept. 28.

The Vikings started off slow, letting in four goals in the first half.

In the second half, the Vikings played better, but it was not enough to win.

ìI am really glad we were able to play to our potential in the second half ... especially after the rough start,î head coach Brad Gustafson said. ìItís great to see a young team adjust and keep fighting.î

Junior tri-captain Sean Karvonen, Brian Grand and Brandstrom each notched goals for the Vikings.

In the end Gustafson credits his athletes for not quitting.

ìIt would have been easy to hang up the cleats being down 3 goals at half, but our guys never did that,î he said.
