The North Branch Area Youth Sports Committee is seeking additional members in order to form a youth sports association that will serve area youths by facilitating communications and community resources.

The committeeís mission is to provide athletic opportunities for all interested youths in the North Branch area.

By coordinating city, school district and private resources, other area sports associations are able to provide expanded opportunities that North Branch youths do not enjoy.

The Forest Lake Athletic Association and the Chisago Lakes Area Association are two successful examples of the type of association NBAYSC hopes to bring to North Branch.

To find out more about this opportunity to improve the athletic opportunities of our youths, please attend a meeting Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. in Room 110 of the Main Street School.

New ideas are welcome as we begin the work of building a community program that will reap rewards beyond the accomplishments on the field.
