Panthers hand Vikings biggest loss of season
By Steve Morris
As can be concluded from the score board, the Vikings football team struggled against Spring Lake Park.
North Branch was unable to jump start their offensive and managed only six points.
ìSpring Lake Park came to play and was by far the best team we saw so far,î head coach Dave Eyre said. ìWe need to improve all around; including our offensive, defense and special teams.î
Five Viking starters didnít play because of suspensions which didnít help at all, Eyre said.
The loss was the Vikings third straight.
In the air, North Branch was 6 of 16 for 86 yards. Jared Grams caught two passes for 49 yards.
The Vikings donít get much of a break; on Friday they play Totino-Grace who is the top ranked team in the state.
ìWe need to come straight at them and show them that we are not afraid,î Eyre said.
