TO THE EDITOR:

Larry Nelson is running for mayor of Harris, although you might not know it because somebody is going around town and stealing his campaign signs. A large group of people have contributed time and money for his campaign and have consented to having signs placed on their property.

Placing campaign signs on personal property is an important part of any campaign since the signs are a way for a candidate to communicate who they are and make the public aware of who is running for office.

Apparently the people stealing Larryís signs know this is illegal and only take them after dark. If you know who is responsible for stealing signs, please let us know. If you are stealing signs, please return them and let us get on with our campaign to elect a new mayor in Harris.
