NB city administrator leaving

Joe Lynch, North Branchís City Administrator for the past three years, resigned Monday night to take a position as administrator in Inver Grove Heights.

In an August 30 article in the Pioneer Press, Inver Grove Heights Mayor George Tourville said Lynch had the experience Inver Grove Heights ñ poised for a growth spurt ñ needed. Inver Grove Heights, a community of 33,000, will be opening a five-square-mile section of the city to new development, a move that could add another 17,000 residents in 20 years.

Lynch, 46, Lynch has been city administrator in Arden Hills, Long Lake and Chisago City. His first job was as administrator of White Bear Township.

Lynch read his letter of resignation at the city council meeting Monday night and his resignation was accepted by unanimous vote.

He resignation is effective Oct. 6.

The council plans to discuss how to proceed to find a replacement at an upcoming worksession.
