Harris city employee Susan Hoyt reported on Thursday afternoon that two candidates for public office have dropped out of the race.

In the race for mayor, Marvin Stai has withdrawn, making it a two candidate race between incumbent Rick Smisson and Larry Nelson.

Richard Long has dropped out of the city council race as well. That leaves Rodney Larson, Kathy Olson, Douglas Payne, and John Pelant vying for two four-year council seats.
