The Vikings sent Spring Lake Park home with a loss after North Branch won in four.

Head coach Kari Francis said the key element to their game against Spring Lake Park was their serving. The Vikings tallied 12 aces on the night with Megan Ranger leading the way with eight.

ìWe seemed to dominate Spring Lake Park at the net by hitting .377 as a team,î Francis said.

Randi Zentner had nine kills, Meghan Kampff had six kills and Megan Scherer added nine kills.

North Branch didnít stop with a win against Spring Lake Park. At the North Branch Invitational Sept. 16, they rolled into the championship game and defeated Esko in three games.

ìWe had all members of the team contribute during the day to get us this far; our team chemistry was one of the keys to success,î Francis said.
