The Rush City volleyball team lost its season opener at home to Barnum 3-0 Aug. 30.

The Tigers lost 22-25, 19-25, 7-25.

ìWe are a young team, but have a lot of potential,î head coach Eric Telander said. ìI expect a lot of improvement on the little things.î

Telander said junior Megan Drevecky had a great day of setting and was a good leader on the court.

As a team, the Tigers served with 85 percent efficiency.

Up next, the Tigers play Hinckley at home Sept. 7.
