Chisago County is in the process of trying to find a gentlemen and a woman for the Outstanding Senior Citizens Award for Chisago County. This is the time to think about them and nominated him or her for this award.
Eligibility Criteria's are:
• The nominee must be a resident of Minnesota.
• She or he must attain the age of 70 by Aug.1.
• A previous county winner, not chosen as a state winner, is eligible. A new nomination form must be completed.
• Only volunteer activities after age 65 for which there is no compensation (except for reimbursed expenses) will be considered.
• Applications are due back to the Chisago County Senior Center by June 15.
If you are interested in this award or know of someone who has earned this award and want to nominate them, please stop by the Chisago County Senior Center or call (651) 674-8658 to get a nomination form.
In addition, there is a need for volunteers to be on the Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year award committee.This requires two meetings about 1/2 hour to an hour long and the dinner for all the volunteers that lasts about one hour.
