Tennis drops four straight
![]() Aaron Good of North Branch winds up for a serve during a meet against Irondale April 19 in North Branch. The Vikings lost the match. Head coach Tom McLaughlin said Irondale was a strong team. It was the first match with a rearranged lineup for the Vikings. |
The North Branch boys tennis team is still on the prowl for their elusive first win of the season. They opened the season with losses to Fridley, Champlin Park, Robbinsdale Cooper and Irondale.
Head coach Tom McLaughlin said his team's lack of players with quality varsity experience has hurt them early on this season.
Versus Robbinsdale Cooper, senior Dan Mork played one of his better matches of the year before falling 2-6, 4-6.
"We are a bit young overall," McLaughlin said.
The North Branch Invitational that was scheduled for April 21 was rained out. Check the Post Review for updates on that. Up next, the boys face Spring Lake Park on Thursday and St. Francis on Monday.
