Lucretia Ann Trulson
Lucretia (Lu) Ann Trulson was born on September 3, 1926 to Herman and Annie (Fitzimmons) Orne in Pepin, Wisconsin, the eldest of three children.
She attended elementary school at the local country school and graduated from Durand High School with the class of 1944.
After high school she worked in Chicago and the Farmers Market in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
In 1947 she began a two year Bible instruction class at Trinity Bible Institute in Minneapolis and graduated from the new school in Chicago in 1949.
Over the next few years she worked at Lydia Childrens Home in Chicago and Western Union in Minneapolis.
On October 1, 1955 she was united in marriage to Waldemar (Wally) Trulson of North Branch and this union was blessed with four children;
Darrel Allen Trulson of Evanston, Illinois, Darla Ann Giles of St. Paul, Dalen Lee Trulson of St. Paul, and Deanna Lynn (Andrew) Mobeck of Wyoming, Minnesota.
Lu loved being a home maker, partner with her husband and being Mom to her children.
She gave her heart to the Lord as a teenager and loved to work in the church; teaching Sunday School, Whirley Birds and as a youth worker.
Lu went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2007 at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 25 days.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
She is survived by her husband Wally, her four children, 9 grandchildren-Derek, Daniel, Joshua, Michael, Lauren and Kristen Trulson of Evanston, Illinois.
Jeremy and Makayla Mobeck of Wyoming, Minn., and Mason Giles of St. Paul; two Brothers Donald (Betty) Orne and Wilbur (Carole) Orne and many relatives and friends..
Funeral services were held Wednesday April 4, 2007 at Kost Evangelical Free Church in North Branch.
Interment at Kost Cemetery.
Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral home in North Branch.
