North Branch home raided for second time
By Patrick Tepoorten
For the second time since last August, law enforcement officials served a search warrant at the same address looking for large quantities of methamphetamine. As with the last one, this raid did not produce the large quantities of the drug that officials were hoping for.
This latest raid, which involved the Chisago County SWAT team, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the State Patrol, was conducted at 39057 3rd Ave., in North Branch at just before 6 p.m. on March 26.
Multiple arrests were made for 5th degree possession of methamphetamine, including homeowner Lisa Joyce Beckman, 49; Mary Sue Patrick, 40, of North Branch, and Alan James Patrick, 39, of North Branch.
At the same time the warrant was being issued, a vehicle police had been observing at the house was pulled over just outside Chisago County and Nery Alonzo Hernandes Elizarraga was arrested, also on 5th degree possession charges.
Another suspect, Dillan John Beckman, 21, of North Branch is being sought by the Chisago County Sheriff's Office. He is alleged to have had a significant amount of the drug in his room, but was not home at the time of the search warrant. According to investigators, he had been in the car with Elizarraga, but was allowed to depart before a search of his room had been conducted.
Although this is the second raid at this address in just over six months, Chisago County Sheriff Todd Rivard said the two raids are not related.
"It is the same players, but a different case," he stated. As with last time though, the "mother load" officers were expecting to find was not located at the property.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Dillan Beckman are encouraged to call the Sheriff's Office at (651) 257-4100.
