Visitors to the 2007 Great Minnesota Get-Together will enjoy a variety of values and bargains during the fair, Aug. 23 through Labor Day, Sept. 3.

Discounted State Fair admission tickets, Mighty Midway and Kidway ride and game tickets and Blue Ribbon Bargain Books are available through Aug. 22 at the State Fair Box Office, participating Cub Foods Stores and numerous locations in greater Minnesota. Discounted tickets and books may also be purchased on-line through Aug. 16.

Pre-fair discount admission tickets are $8; Mighty Midway and Kidway ride and game tickets are $10 for a sheet of 20; Blue Ribbon Bargain books are $4. During the fair, regular admission is $11 for adults (13-64), $9 for seniors (65 & over) and $8 for kids (5-12). Children (under 5) are always admitted free. Mighty Midway and Kidway tickets purchased at the fair are 75 cents per single, $20 per sheet of 30 or $30 per sheet of 50. Blue Ribbon Bargain Books purchased at State Fair Wear Gift Shops are $5.

The State Fair kicks off with savings for the whole family on Thrifty Thursday, Aug. 23. Admission for adults (13 & over) is $8 and kids (5-12) are admitted for just $5. Monday, Aug. 27 and Thursday, Aug. 30 are Seniors Days when seniors (65 & over) are admitted for $5. Kids Days are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 27 and Monday, Sept. 3, and admission is just $5 for kids (5-12). New this year, Tuesday, Aug. 28 is $8 at the Gate Day, when everyone 5 and over is admitted for the kids' price of $8.

Wednesday, Aug. 29 is Hop On Transit Day, when State Fair Express Bus fare is reduced to $3 round trip. All express and regular route bus riders may request a coupon for $2 off a regular fair admission ticket purchased at the gate. The Hop On Transit discount does not apply to guests using pre-fair discount tickets or those using free Park & Ride services.

Many concessionaires and vendors participate in special day deals on Thrifty Thursday, Aug. 23, Seniors and Kids Day, Aug. 27, Seniors Day, Aug. 30, and Kids & Last Chance Day, Sept. 3. All participating vendors will display a special deal sign and are listed in the Deals, Drawings and Giveaways Guide available at all information booths. In addition, many vendors will feature closeout prices on Kids & Last Chance Day, Sept. 3. All Last Chance Day deals will be listed in a special flyer available on Labor Day at State Fair information booths.

Early Bird specials are offered weekdays until 1 p.m. on all Mighty Midway and Kidway rides, games and concessions. All-day specials are offered on Thrifty Thursday, Aug. 23, Hop On Transit Day, Aug. 29 and Kids Days, Aug. 27 & Labor Day, Sept. 3.

The State Fair Blue Ribbon Bargain Book features 100 cou pons worth over $500 in savings on food, merchandise and attractions. New this year, the Blue Ribbon Bargain Book offers a bonus coupon redeemable at the State Fair for a $5 return visit admission ticket. Books are available pre-fair for $4 wherever discount admission tickets are sold. During fair, books are $5 and available exclusively at the Minnesota State FairWear Gift Shops located in the lower Grandstand, Warner Coliseum and Visitors Plaza on the fairgrounds.
