Blue Ribbon softball team at their winning ways again

Tim's Blue Ribbon Softball in Stacy is on the winning track once again.
The team took second place in the Minnesota Softball Federation Class CC State Tournament in Sauk Rapids Aug. 10-12.
The second-place finish gave the ladies a birth at the national tournament in Salem, Ore., during Labor Day weekend.
The team also took second place in the Chisago County Softball league and took first place in the Stacy Days Tournament.
Last season, the team took first place in the state tournament Class C division and qualified for nationals in Bismarck, N.D.
They moved to a more competitive league this year after their success last year.
Tayna Meyer said she is not sure if the team will make the trip to nationals this year.
The team is sponsored by Tim's Country Cupboard and Stacy Bar.
Meyer said she is thankful to have the sponsorships of the local businesses.
This is the 27th year of Tim's Blue Ribbon Softball team.
