Geri Wheeler, owner of North Branch Floral, took first place in the commercial floral competition at the Isanti County Fair last weekend. Her winning design consisted of a zucchini, peppers, carrots, sunflowers and other flowers in driftwood. Wheeler said the sunflowers she grew herself and the driftwood was a random piece she found in her shop that decided to use for her project. Last year, a Princeton Florist won the competition.
