Like an old-fashioned American circus, a Carson & Barnes troupe offered daring aerial and ground acts that amazed two audiences while in North Branch last Friday. Lots of folks arrived in the morning also to watch the big top go up as the circus got ready for the afternoon and evening performances.

At right: Jake and Natalie Olinske of North Branch were smiling on the outside, but inside? Still, they were brave enough for the apicture with this hefty python during intermission.
