The North Branch Dance Team competed for the second time, Dec. 6, in Irondale.

The team recorded a 6th place finish, just barely edging out Chisago Lakes High School.

"Both the dancers and the coaches are pleased with the performance, but we will make some changes to the routine for future competitions," head coach Melissa Hall said.

Spring Lake Park took first place, with a routine that included a quadruple pirouette to blow away the competition.

The dance team's next event is at Benilde St. Margaret's, Dec. 20, in the jazz category.
