Sheila A. Ellis-Garey

Sheila Anne Ellis-Garey of Rush City, Minnesota, died December 1, 2007 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, in Minneapolis, Minn. She was 45 years of age. The daughter of Charles and Janet (Bies) Kraemer, she was born December 16, 1961 in Saint Paul, Minn.

Sheila loved life and all the people she met along her life's journey. Her journey was a difficult one since back injuries, cancer, and continual trips to the hospital were not uncommon.

She loved swimming, fishing, playing golf, roller skating, anything to do with water and nature, and, of course, shopping. Mostly she loved the Lord with all her heart. Since having been baptized at South Shore Trinity Church in White Bear Lake, Minn., she found a new purpose for her life, to love the Lord. And she definitely did! Sheila always said, "If it's God's will, then that's what needs to happen." Another saying she often used was, "And this, too, shall pass."

Sheila is survived by her husband, Kevin Garey of Rush City; father, Charles Kraemer of North St. Paul, Minn.; sister and brother-in-law Lori and Jeff Bunch of Concord, NC; grandmother Pat Bies of Chapel Hill, NC; brothers-in-law John Garey of Minneapolis, Curt (Jolene) Garey of Blaine, Minn., Doug (Linda) Garey of Somerset, Wisc., and Duane (Donna) Thompson of Glenwood City, Wisc.; sisters-in-law Cindy (Greg) Weizennegar of Big Lake, Minn., Becky (Steven) Nyhus of Glenwood City; and Amy (Scoop) Hanson of Connorsville, Wisc.; several aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Janet Kraemer.

Funeral services were held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Rush City with the Reverend John Beck officiating. Music was provided by organist John Scheele. Casket Bearers were Curt Garey, Darwin Weidendorf, Duane Eck, John Garey, Duane Thompson, and Warren Hansen. Interment was at Saint John's Lutheran Cemetery in Rush City. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service - Olson Funeral Chapel of Rush City, Minnesota.

God's Blessings and love are with you now! I look forward to the day we are joined eternally in Heaven. All my love! Kevin
