Bombers shellac Tigers
By Steve Morris
On Dec. 11, the Rush City girls basketball team lost to the Braham Bombers, 75-39.
Braham explosive style of play proved too much for the young Rush City team.
Rush City captains Amy Carlson, Brittany Scheffer and Chenoa Fields stellar play wasn't enough to topple Braham.
Carlson led the team with seven points and three assists. Brittany Scheffer had an all-around game with seven points, six rebounds and four assists. Fields added seven points and five rebounds.
Jenna Scheffer had a team-high 10 rebounds.
Head coach Mark Henrich noted his team played much better against Braham than in previous games this season.
"The team looked and played much better in the second half. Braham is a very explosive team due to their fast break and pressing ability," he said.
