Johanna Bartkey, 11 months, of North Branch carefully studied the face of Santa Claus Saturday in North Branch. She didn't appear frightened, just seriously concerned.

Girl Scouts Hailie Corner, Brittany Connoui and McKinley Long, offered some crafty distractions while children and their families waited in line to see Santa, and Midsummer royalty handed out the bags full of goodies.
