Visit Santa in Almelund
Posted: 12/5/07
Join Almelund residents in greeting Santa at an old-fashioned Santa Claus Day on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Amador Town Hall. Santa will arrive by horse drawn wagon at 2 p.m. and will greet children of all ages until 4 p.m. Coffee, hot cider and Christmas goodies will be served. Check out the giant Santa.
Horse drawn wagon rides will be sponsored by Amador Clydesdales, Maggie Kuusisto and Jeff Frisco from 2 -- 3 p.m. You'll love this, dress warmly.
The Friends of the Amador Heritage Center will sponsor a gift and bake sale between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Get your personalized hand-painted Christmas ornaments (on wood, tin or glass) during those hours. All proceeds go toward the museum log cabin restoration project. Donations of crafts and baked goods are gratefully accepted.
Also needed are donations of home baked Christmas cookies and bars which will be served during the afternoon with coffee and hot cider.
