Commissioner needed to respond
TO THE EDITOR:
After reading former Commissioner Walker's letter to the editor I decided to write my first letter of response since I was elected to the county board over six years ago.
Some of her concerns were that the current board isn't making wise decisions, uses questionable judgement, is not prepared for the meeting, and is not controlling taxes. All of the above reminded me of when she was on the board.
There is an old story about a guy living in a glass house and throwing rocks. If I were her, before I wrote a letter as she did, I would have gone outside and checked what kind of siding I had on my house.
She is right about the taxes being too high. One of our problems now is that we have to pay for some of the decisions she made while she was a commissioner.
Have a good day.

Chair of the Chisago County Board

I applaud Lori Walker for her remarks and give credence to what she had to say. She obviously has had some experience on the inner workings of this County Board and has the courage to speak on it even though it appears to have ruffled some feathers.
Your grade school sarcasm however, Mr. Robinson, falls flat and reveals
more about the mindset, of some, currently serving on the board.
I have to concur...it would be quite refreshing to see it operating with a good dose of integrity.
